Blue & Gold, forever: Eels unveil 2024 Retro Jersey

The Parramatta Eels have released their 2024 Retro Jersey, to be worn for the first time on Easter Monday against the Wests Tigers.

Inspired by the famous kit the Eels wore during the 2001-2003 seasons, the Retro Jersey features a classic collar and the iconic Blue & Gold colourway, tied together by a crisp chevron.

The design is synonymous with the Club’s history, particularly the record-breaking 2001 season. The Eels made history with the most points and most tries ever scored by a team in a season, while winning 12 consecutive matches at Parramatta Stadium.

Nathan Cayless was appointed Captain of the Eels in 2001, a position he held until his retirement after 259 games for his beloved Parramatta.

23 years on from his first season as Captain, Cayless revisited Eels history and his proud playing career by pulling on the 2024 Retro Jersey.

The Jersey evokes memories of Cayless’ former teammates and fellow Eels legends, including Nathan Hindmarsh, Luke Burt, Dean Widders, and Daniel Wagon.

The style and spirit that the Eels’ early-2000s teams played with lives on today.

Nathan Cayless has been with the Eels during both periods, then as Captain and now a Coach, and the Club’s ambition remains as it always will: to bring a Premiership to the Blue & Gold faithful.

The 2024 Retro Jersey is on sale now. Secure your slice of history at the Eels Store.
